A 5 round, Active Swiss tournament

The Canadian team will be particpating in the 39th Chess Olympiad in Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia.

This Active fundraiser is to raise funds to support the Canadian Team.

Details:

Where:  At the Victoria Chess Club, 1724 Douglas St., Victoria BC.

When: Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010

Rounds: Rd. 1 10:00,  Rd. 2 11:15,  Rd. 3 1:30, Rd. 4 2:45, Rd 5 4:00

Time Control: Game/25 with 5 second increment

Entry Fee:  $10 if pre-registered and paid by  Monday Feb. 15, $11 if pre-registered only, $13 at the door.

Prizes: 1st - Trophy & book prize, 2nd book prize, 1st U1700 Trophy & book prize, 2nd U1700 book prize, 1st U1400 book prize

Registration:  Online below, by email to Paul Leblanc, or in person to Roger Patterson at the Victoria Chess Club on club nights, or at the door from 9:00 to 9:30.  Registration after 9:30 does not guarantee a Swiss pairing.

Misc:  Rated by the Victoria Chess Club (see rating list), at least 85% of entry fees go towards the Canadian Team for the 39th Chess Olympiad.
