Type: 5 round Swiss. Match section: up to 20 players on each team (by invitation).
Separate Open event open to all. Both events FIDE/CFC rated
Prizes: Trophies and Guaranteed $3,000. Top BC player $500 & trophy, 2nd BC player $300, 3rd BC player $200, 4th BC player $100. Top AB player $500 & trophy, 2nd AB player $300, 3rd AB player $200, 4th AB player $100. Vernon Open 1st $300 & trophy, 2nd $250, 3rd $200, top unrated $50
Entry Fee: $70 on or before 2 Jun, then $80 on or before 1 Jul, $90 on site up to 5pm on 3 Jul. Free entry for GM/IM/WGM . Family discount $20 for 2nd and higher entries same family.
Time Control: Game in 90 minutes +30 sec. increment per move
5 Rounds: Fri 6pm, Sat 10am and 3pm, Sun 10am and 3pm
Accommodation: Best Western 250-558-1800. $149/night; free parking, and internet. Mention chess tournament when booking.
