Active Fundraiser for the 2012 Grand Pacific Open

A 5 round, Active Swiss tournament

This coming year will mark the 6th annual Grand Pacific Open and this event is a fundraiser for Victoria's (and BC's) largest tournament..

Where:  Victoria Chess Club 1724 Douglas Street, Victoria, BC (at Silver Threads)

When: Sunday Feb. 12, 2012

Rounds: Rd. 1 10:00,  Rd. 2 11:15,  Rd. 3 1:30, Rd. 4 2:45, Rd 5 4:00

Time Control: Game/25 with 5 second increment

Entry Fee:  $10 if pre-registered and paid on or before Monday, Feb. 6 , $11 if pre-registered only, $13 at the door

Prizes: 1st - Trophy & book prize, 2nd book prize, 1st U1700 Trophy & book prize, 2nd U1700 book prize, 1st U1400 book prize

Registration:  Online (click here), by email to Paul Leblanc or in person to Roger Patterson at the Victoria Chess Club on club nights, or at the door from 9:00 to 9:30.  Registration after 9:30 does not guarantee a Swiss pairing

Misc:  Rated by the Victoria Chess Club.    At least 85% of entry fees go towards the GPO.  All equipment supplied.
