Results March. 2013 Active Fundraiser.

On March 3 Victoria Chess held an Active Chess fundraising tournament at the University of Victoria. Jason Cao rolled through the opposition to score 5-0 and capture the 1^st place trophy and book prize. Roger Patterson, whose only loss was to Cao, finished clear second.

Eight year old Patrick Huang was clear third and the surprise winner of the U1700 section, defeating Paul Leblanc in the last round to clinch the trophy.

Other prize winners were Jill Ding (second U1700) and Garth Edgar who took the U1500 prize when Huang who was also under 1500 won the U1700 prize.

$173 was raised to help offset expenses for the 2013 Grand Pacific Open to be held in Victoria on March 29^th to April 1^st, 2013.
